Bangladesh plunged to a huge 75-run defeat against New Zealand in the Tigers’ last World Twenty20 match, staying winless in the Super 10s campaign.
On a dry and cracking Eden Gardens surface in Kolkata, Mustafizur Rahman bamboozled New Zealand batsmen but the Kiwis still managed a fighting 145-8 on Saturday.
Bangladesh’s chase never got anywhere as New Zealand bowlers read the conditions well and ran through the Tigers’ batting to skittle them out for a measly 70, their lowest-ever T20 International total.
Barring Mohammad Mithun Ali (11), Sabbir Rahman (12) and Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury (16 not out), no other Bangladesh batsmen could reach double figures
